Depression Glass: Amber Rose of Sharon Set 6 Place Settings & Serving Dishes a TOTAL of 83 pieces. This is "OLD GLASS" Amber Rose of Sharon made by the Old Federal Glass Co 1935-1939. NO CHIPS! NO CRACKS! NO FLEA BITES! There are 6 place settings (66 pieces) that include the following pieces in each of these place settings: Dinner plate, cup, saucer, Bread & Butter Plate, salad plate, flat soup bowl, cream soup bowl, berry bowl, cereal bowl, thin 8 oz glasses and sherbets. Serving pieces: CHEESE DISH and Lid, ice lip pitcher (the pouring spout has molding blemishes, I looked at this very carefully with a magnifying glass...these are blemishes...they are definitely not chips or flakes), cake plate, jam dish, butter dish & lid, sugar bowl & cream pitcher, salt & pepper shakers with original lids, candy dish with lid, (1) oval bowls, (1) 10.5 inch fruit bowl, (1) platters, (1) 8.5 inch berry bowls. Naturally, because of age, these pieces are used, they show almost no wear except for the occassional utensil mark. (stainless table wear not included).

Depression Glass: Sharon Cheese Dish made by the Old Federal Glass Co 1935-1939: This is a Cheese Dish "RARE" Amber Sharon. The cheese dish is almost impossible to find and is considered to be the "holy grail" of Sharon depression Glass. I've been collecting Pink and Amber Sharon and other depression glass since 1970. The cheese dish is a virtually flat dish with a raised ridge that keeps the lid from slipping around. The cheese dish is 7.25 inches in diameter and stands 13/16 inch high. There's a raised ridge that keeps the lid in place and with the lid sitting on the dish...the total heigth is 3 inches. This cheese dish is in "perfect" condition with no chips or cracks. It has the usual factory straw marks and bubbles and very minimal utensil marks. This is depression glass; it was given away during the 1930's as a premium. It is beautiful and made by the Old Federal Glass Co 1935-1939. It would enhance your set or look beautiful displayed all by itself.

Beautiful Depression Glass from the 1920's thru the 1930's. Federal Glass is my "favorite", but I'll be offering a lot of other patterns as well. This glass was given away mostly during the 1930's as a premium...it was very inexpensively made, using excess glass from other molding processes of the day...therefore the glass is far from perfect...it has bubbles, straw marks and other molding imperfections...but this does not take away from the collectibility of depression glass.
